My parents have passed on now, but when they retired far from where I lived, there were times I worried about the little things – who would help if something needed fixing, or if they had a doctor’s appointment, or if a new phone or TV needed setting up.

Thankfully, they had a good neighbor. He wasn’t a professional service, just a kind person nearby who helped when something came up. He’d give them a ride to the doctor, help arrange a contractor, or stop by to figure out a piece of technology that had them scratching their heads.

Knowing someone nearby was looking out for them meant the world to me. They were still independent, still living life on their own terms, but they had a safety net. And as their son, that gave me tremendous peace of mind.

That experience is what inspired Venice Neighbor Services. Not everyone has family close by, and sometimes all you really need is a trustworthy neighbor who can lend a hand. My goal is simple: to be that dependable local person you can call when you need help with errands, appointments, home check-ins, or the little things that make life easier.
